Thinking Out Loud Thursday

1. I visited my old hiphop crew last Thursday with one of my dancer friends and have been convinced to join the class tonight again.

We brought along a cake as a treat. It’s part of the tradition 🙂

2. I am so not a juice person.

IMG_1315I drank this beetroot, ginger, carrot, orange, apple juice last week and just wasn’t feeling it. Definitely more the smoothie type!

3. I ate sushi twice this week, both times with a best friend 🙂

Goofing off is more than allowed when surrounded by people who love you no matter what…

4. Let me introduce you to baby me, in love with my own feet:

IMG_1367..and with granny

IMG_13685. Speaking of grandparents, my Oma and Opa – who visited last week – just sent us these pictures..

IMG_1352I guess I get the “goofy” genes from my grandfather 🙂 Isn’t it scary how similar my smile is to my father’s?

6. This is my failed attempt at getting my dogs to help me recreate the famous “dog beard”

Here is the online link to people who were able to pull it off! 🙂

I felt nearly as frazzled as this little guy that I couldn’t pull it off!

7. Have you ever taken a “buzz feed” quiz? Well I just took one that would tell you what “emoji emoticon” you were.. I couldn’t believe the accuracy!

Also, some of the questions are quite funny. One was: what do you think about LOVE, and among the answers you could select one of these options…

8. As always, I need to highlight doggy cuteness in these posts!

Puppy Love ❤

9. I’m a pinterest-a-holic. And it doesn’t stop there: I also save the best images…These four are among my favourites this week:

IMG_1366They’re all so true it hurts!

10. I always look forward to Thursdays! This post is so much fun to write and I love discovering new blogs through the link-ups!

Thinking Out Loud Thursday

It’s been one of those weeks… blogging seemed like a chore and I just wanted to hide away in my bed and travel back in time a few years to when I was a little girl and had no troubles or cares in the world.. but alas, I’ve had to put my big girl pants on, and am back full of energy for every task that lies ahead!Thinking-Out-Loud

1.  I ate manchego cheesecake with my grandparents

2. I’ve finally returned to where I belong; I now live at the dance studio again. I went to my first class last Friday and then went again Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday! Tonight I’m planning on going to the gym (where I haven’t been in a while either….) and tomorrow will hopefully get to a body pump class! Life is good

3. Speaking of dance… this is how I bow and run off stage after dancing like a Turkey (long story short, I performed the Tale of the Turkey Prince at SLC and have finally received the video!)

4. I filmed my dog making weird noises in her sleep. The funniest part is at the end where her sister looks at her like she has gone crazy and she then realises she is being filmed and stares in to the camera… priceless.

..also I have some pictures of them all comfy in their sleep.

5. I have FINALLY used my Marc Jacobs Nail Polish; Le Charme.

6. Leaving for America didn’t just leave a dent in my dance frequenting schedule, it also left me an irregular at my favourite Thai Restaurant in Zürich. I hadn’t been since returning home and have gone three times in this last week… the best part of going again wasn’t the food (though it was just as amazing) it was seeing how happy the staff at the restaurant were to see me! Everyone asked how I was, told me how they missed me and kept offering me free glasses of pink champagne and dessert! I guess it really does pay off to be a regular for over 14 years… 🙂

7. From all my Starbucks visits, you might deduced that I’ve gone matcha crazy. My dad picked up on that and found me Matcha Chocolate! Yumm!

I’ve also gone as far as adding it into my smoothies too (matcha powder, not chocolate 😉 )

8. I sometimes go to Pilates with my dad! The last time I went, this little doggy wanted to join in on the fun too! He is so cute, I can’t stop taking pictures! So now I will be raving about 3 dogs in my blog posts… oh the horror.

9. I got my hair cut!

It’s short in the back and long in the front!

10. The sky in Zurich is great for pictures lately…

Thinking Out Loud Thursday 2

I ran out of my favourite foundation today and lost my inspiration to blog about my makeup selections for Beauty to the Pointe.. so what to do when you don’t know what to write about? Join a linkup as fun as this one! Thank you Amanda for hosting!

Thinking-Out-Loud1. My work out goals for 2014 started off badly, but now that I decided to make myself a fixed schedule, things have been more “smooth sailing”. I made it to the gym twice this week and will be going again tomorrow. Today was a much-needed rest day!

IMG_12532. …and what do you do on a rest day? You eat cupcakes…because that’s how it is meant to work, right? Eat clean only while training mean… or something like that 😉

3. I have found a really nice nail polish remover, and while things like Liquid Sand and Glitter are still really hard to remove, it leaves my fingers extremely soft.

I can’t wait to try other Josie Maran products!

4. The Matcha Green Tea Latte has made a return twice since last week… there is no hope! 😉

5. I have the cutest dogs in the whole entire universe. Yes, I may have mentioned this before, but I’ve been hanging out with them a lot lately and they never fail to be CUTE! Check my phone – all recent pictures are of them (or of food!)

Playing like a puppyIMG_1262

I caught her working on my computer….

They both hug the blanket! SO CUTE!

Checking up on me… 🙂

6. I am in LOVE with this tea from Teavana. It is called Choco Caramel Sea Salt. Why don’t they have a store here?!

IMG_12647. I’ve changed my nail polish three times this week. That means my next three Manicure Monday posts are already written and ready! Now that’s what we call well prepared 😉

8. IMG_0968I bought one of these in the States because everyone else was using them too. I have to say, I like it, but want to try and make my own as well!

9.IMG_0930Class at Sarah Lawrence starts soon again and it will be really weird not going back. I really miss my friends back in New York and while I know that it is the right thing for me to stay here, I will be missing staying up late with a group of friends talking and meeting up with everyone at lunch. I’m glad though that I mainly miss the social aspect, because that is possible to keep up from a different country!

10. Our Christmas decorations are going back into the cellar tomorrow. I don’t know how I feel about that… the Holidays are officially over…

Thans for reading! With attitude and nail polish, Anoushé xoxo

Adorable Good Night!

Good evening! This post is coming from a very comfy place..and this is not just Goldilocks comfy. No…This is not even “sinking in to the clouds, on a magical beany bag with too many fluffy pillows surrounding you” comfy. Nuhh-uuuuuh…! No-suuuur-eeee-bob! It’s not just any kind of comfy….

Queen of the pillows

Queen of the pillows

…its Bala’s standard of comfy!

One can definitely say, she knows all about what is snug and cozy. I mean she has tested it not only once…

Nor twice…

comfortable? I think so

comfortable? I think so

…Three times…

Pillows! My favourite thing!

Pillows! My favourite thing!

Yes, Bala is definitely in the know when it comes to serious issues like where to sleep for maximum comfort!…:)

all she wants, is to sleep

all she wants, is to sleep

Her sister on the other hand, tends to be a bit more unconventional when it comes to preferred sleeping spots:

In my ballet bag (open, with point shoes..), on the couch

In my ballet bag (open, with point shoes..), on the couch

Seti tends to love sleeping on my couch! But of course, she also – like her sister – chooses to sleep near pillows (or in the above case, in my ballet bag!)

all curled up!

all curled up!

On clothes...

On clothes…

Today, though, she decided to take use of my laziness, and decided to sleep on my constantly growing pile of clothes, that never seem to find their way back in to my closet…how revolutionary of her!

But sometimes, she agrees that for ultimate comfort, you need to do things Bala’s way…she is the expert after all..;)

Bala's way

Bala’s way

Now it’s time for me to catch some Z’s. I just hope Bala will let me snuggle in somewhere on the bed! For a small dog, she manages to take up an awfully huge amount of space! (And wont move if you push her either! Uuuugh..wish me luck! 🙂 )

Nighty night,

Anoushé xoxox

Question of the night: Do you have pets? Do you let them sleep on your bed?

By letting my dogs have free use of my bed, they have obviously started taking advantage of my kindness. I mean, Bala gives me evil looks whenever I make her move! My parents were always firm when it came to them jumping on the bed..they were either pushed right back down, or told no, repeatedly.. but I’m just a sucker for those little puppies!
