Day two started slightly later than the day before. We got up around 10 and got ready to go to the Eiffel Tower.
My chosen outfit for the day:
Upon arrival, we saw 3 queues; two very long and one considerably shorter.. that was the line for taking the stairs. I knew from previous trips that it isn’t as bad a walk up the stairs as you would presume, so we ignored the lazy way out and prepared ourselves for the ascension.
The view at the end was very much worth the wait though 🙂
We took the elevators back down and by the time we exited the Tower, it was nearly 2 o’clock. Time for lunch at a near-by café before a metro ride to Montmartre.
The Basilique du Sacré-Coeur was beautiful and I fell in love with the whole area immediately. It was full of hip and trendy cafés, artists painting and buskers singing… we decided to stay up in Montmartre for dinner so I searched for. and found, a really cute place in our travel guide called Café Burq.
On our way to dinner, I purchased a new cover for my phone.
Day three is up next. Don’t miss it 🙂
