Paris Day 2

Day two started slightly later than the day before. We got up around 10 and got ready to go to the Eiffel Tower.

My chosen outfit for the day:

IMG_0179Since our hotel was within close proximity of the Tower, we didn’t feel it necessary to map out a route. Out the door we headed, munching on leftover honey roasted peanuts for breakfast.

IMG_0158Upon arrival, we saw 3 queues; two very long and one considerably shorter.. that was the line for taking the stairs. I knew from previous trips that it isn’t as bad a walk up the stairs as you would presume, so we ignored the lazy way out and prepared ourselves for the ascension.

IMG_0159We reached the top in under 30 minutes, and we weren’t walking fast..

IMG_0167When we got to the second floor we had to queue again for a lift to take us to the very top of the tower.

The view at the end was very much worth the wait though 🙂

We took the elevators back down and by the time we exited the Tower, it was nearly 2 o’clock. Time for lunch at a near-by café before a metro ride to Montmartre.

The Basilique du Sacré-Coeur was beautiful and I fell in love with the whole area immediately. It was full of hip and trendy cafés, artists painting and buskers singing… we decided to stay up in Montmartre for dinner so I searched for. and found, a really cute place in our travel guide called Café Burq.

IMG_0175They are famous for their honey-baked camembert, which we both tried. It really was a delicious and  perfect meal to end a more snacking-type day.

On our way to dinner, I  purchased a new cover for my phone.

Day three is up next. Don’t miss it 🙂

With attitude and nail polish, Anoushé xoxo
