This week my dance schedule went topsy-turvy. We had a small emergency at home and I had to put my classes on hold. Everything’s better now though so no need to worry.
Monday I was in great need of fresh and vitamin-rich foods after my not so clean weekend eating (fun fair food included). I loaded up on plenty of fruits and veg and was planning on eating tofu before ballet. When that wasn’t possible, I ended up eating a massive plate of Delicorn “Geschnetzeltes” with a sweet and sour Greek yoghurt dip for a late dinner instead.
On Tuesday I still wasn’t sure about dance class (actually Tuesday I go to stretch), but noticed after a very late lunch that I had the time to go. My pre-stretching meal therefore ended up being my lunch consisting of green curry tofu with looooads of jasmine rice and a papaya salad. It definitely filled me up, but if it had been a regular dance class – jumps included – I don’t think my stomach would’ve coped! 😉
Wednesday my schedule was back to normal, and so were my snacks: creamy earl grey oats, too filling to finish, but prepped me for my lesson (I ate the rest after dinner as dessert ;))
Thursday, class was going to be less strenuous so I decided to tone down the carbs and chose a high protein snack; egg white omelette with tomatoes and onion. For breakfast I ate some Greek yoghurt and some quark and also devoured plenty of nectarines.
I also enjoyed a few indulgences this week…
yes that cake was AMAAAAAAHZING. I still have some more left over, as it is a very rich cake. I also mainly just eat the top part of it as I am more a filling over pastry fan (yes I would also be one of those people, picking the cookie dough out of ice cream and the chocolate chips out of cookies, leaving the rest to just sit there, unloved..;))
I have also found two nut butters I luuuuuuuurv and wish to recreate and healthify (they have unnecessary amounts of palm oil added in to them which is stupid because nuts have enough of their own oil…)
I’ve so far found a recipe for the one on the left.
Those two indulgences started off a major indulgent weekend that I just got back from…stay tuned to find out why 😉
